FLYING TRAPEZE & FITNESS WORKSHOP
Join L.J. Mintz, founder of Flyer Fitness, & Efe Ilkay for a weekend of FUN, FITNESS & FLYING! During this workshop, you will build an understanding within your body of HOW to fly like you have always dreamed! Sessions off the rig will emphasize preparation for optimal performance, including injury prevention, trapeze specific warm-ups & conditioning, as well as body position training. On the rig, receive expert coaching from professional flying trapeze artist L.J. Mintz, with the opportunity to fly to the hands of Efe Ilkay.
Shared lodging available for the first 4 students enrolled!!! (additional fees may apply!)

Friday
5:30pm - Arrival 6:30pm- Welcome & Goal Setting Session (Snacks Provided)
Saturday
9:30 am - Morning movement session
10:30 am -12:30- Flying session -swings & Tricks
12:30 pm - 2:00 pm Lunch (provided)
2:30 - 4:30pm - Flying Session with catches
4:30 - 5:30pm - Functional fitness session
6:00 pm - Dinner (provided)
8:00 pm - Flying Trapeze Videos session
Sunday
9:30 am - Morning Movement Session
10:30am - 12:30pm - Flying with catching
1:00pm - 2:30pm - Lunch (Provided)
3:30 - 5:00 pm - Trapeze Conditioning
6:00 pm - Dinner (Not Provided)

With goal setting at the start of the weekend, together with your coaches, you will be supported and guided toward succes

We got you covered! Lunch and Dinner are included on Saturday, and Lunch is provided on Sunday.
Workshop Details & Structure
WHO: Flying Trapeze Students
Prerequisite: Working on a swing out of lines. Unassisted takeoff, safe consistent landing in net. Able to assist others’ on the platform with bar, raise, and safety lines
Workshop Components: *subject to change
Flyer Fitness Fundamentals-Learn what is ideally needed to prepare your body for flying -Experience the mobility and activation necessary to reach your flying potential
Swings & Skills (on the rig) -Utilizing your new found mobility and activation, focus will be on technique in order to improve the most foundational skill on trapeze - your swing! -Skills may be practiced to ingrain more understanding for your tricks
Concepts & Conditioning-Concepts for flying trapeze will be explained -Learn and execute conditioning which include a combination of strength training, stretches, and dynamic drills Planning for Performance -Discuss & determine your fitness and/or flying goals -Learn and understand how to execute a training program to allow your goals become your reality!
